Alright, bit of an update. First, I'd like to say I'm actually working now on the project of Nintendo's Online Community. I think of it from the point of view from chat, but in reality it's a large project. One from the chat perspective but also the community that revolves around it. Usually a BBS or forums existed around it. Even on AOL there was the Nintendo BBS on their website, even if chat was on AOL. It's really a years long project but getting more serious about it. Creating an outline of communities and all and digging in.

With that said, I would like to put a call out for anyone with images, text, information, or anything from the past communities (AOL, Nintendo.com, camphyrule.com, etc) to get in contact with me. 2020 we did a pretty big search for Camp Hyrule games and managed to find quite a bit and get them on archive.org for archival purposes. To lose everything would have been such a shame. And while not everything there can run (DCRs I believe can't), there are ways to still play. Flashpoint 11 Infinity is how I play the camp roasting marshmallow game. So I know with big pushes we can be successful in archiving and remembering some of the past. My plea is this now: if you have anything, on any old drive or anything, please let me know! I'd love to get in contact with you and see what you have. I know I was genuinely surprised during our 2020 hunt.

I know not everyone has much, or anything. And that's fine, too. Were you a member of a past place and look for a home again? If you are on Discord, send me a message. I run an NSiders server if you are interested in joining and reconnecting with some folks. We are still very much small compared to the overall grand scheme of things, but we are a tight knit little group. So if you are looking for a home, we might be able to offer that.

With all that's been said, which feels like a lot but I don't think is, I'd like to give you some ways to get into contact with me. Make sure to mention Nintendo and maybe community you were part of or something, so I don't assume it is spam.

I think that generally about covers the social media I use more often. Reddit not so much but I keep tabs on it. I would put my email but I honestly think you are better at contacting me at the places above. I'm always on Discord so it would be easiest there. Thank you so much for getting to this point and reading. I hope that despite the years, they find you well.

Ignore the contact me info on the left. Obviously AIM is gone and I have not had that email in AGES.

Updating because it seems that there has been some fresh buzz with a couple of YouTube videos talking about Camp Hyrule recently. It is fun and great to see new folks learning about some of Nintendo's online history. Great way to get the information out there and new folks to see it. Definitely diggin' it.

Just remember, when using a source though, every source, you need to cite it. I'm not sure how it is taught these days, but honestly, it shouldn't be a secret where you get your information or how others can access it. Especially the Flash games that we've worked so hard to find and preserver on archive.org. This isn't some magic or anything. But as a note, we have preserved a lot of Camp Hyrule history there since 2020. It's been a community effort and no one should not have access to it. Just look up "Camp Hyrule" in search to see all that is there!

As usual, I'm still on hunt for anything Camp Hyrule related. Especially things we haven't found. Been big on finding flash files and it'd be great if there are any others out there we can find we don't currently have. I know we have one Shockwave game up there currently you can't play without a player, The Marshmallow Game, but even those would be great finds to at least archive!

LHL2.0 is dead and kind of way too big of a project for one or two people. We've been thinking about other ways to get it out there. YouTube has been a thought, but nothing has been given the thumbs up. These days I still hunt for actually any online Nintendo history, but also run a Discord. If you have any information you can contact me on Discord at mukusix or on X (formerly known as Twitter) at @Muku611.

That is correct. Fifteen years later, almost to the day, I've created an update! (Last update was July 13, 2003.)

I didn't have access to the site for some years due to not having access to specific emails I had attached to this site. Last year, however, I contacted Tripod to gain access to this site again. It took a lot of going back and forth, but it was ultimately successful. I wanted to back up this site via the actual file manager here.

So, what does that mean? Everything here is still untouched. It's as it was all those years ago. I've left this up as a shrine to our old community. I am currently working on a new project though. The project title is LHL2.0. I'm thinking that may be the name I go with. Last year I did a lot of research for it, hence why I needed to gained access to this site again. Research has been on the Loudhouse, NSider, and Camp Hyrule communities. I'm trying to preserve as much as possible. I also know that I'm not the only one. TS has shared some things with me. I know Mrs. History, Kattixie, also has a wealth of stuff. I'm hoping that we can connect up at some point.

I know that we would like to get a timeline of the community and the evolution over time. It's not something we've been able to get to yet, but I hope we can do so soon. The longer this goes on, the more we lose. In information as well as people. But I'd like to do a history on the new one.

Don't worry though! This will stay as is. It is the communities legacy. I would like to archive some of this stuff on the new site as well. But the new site will be history and all. I'm not sure how it will all turn out, but it has been an interesting reasearch ride along the way.

Before I end, I would like to leave a note and say that if ANYONE comes across this and would like to help, has information, has files, or anything related to the community they would like to share, please, please feel free to reach out to me. I have Discord and several other things. Easiest way to reach me initially would be via email. I won't link it for bots, but you can contact me at irisdrakon@yahoo.com. All my old emails on this website are long gone, so unfortunately I cannot access anything sent to those. Thank you for taking the time to read this. :) Just kind of an update and a reach out. I really appreciate it.
